Hey guys! Today’s recipe is a little unique but whenever the seasons change I start to get a little bummed so experimenting with healthy recipes is the move to cheer me up!

This recipe is inspired by Sakara Life. Initially I wanted to do their 5 day food delivery however it ended up being much to pricey for my budget! In which case I decided to peek at their recipes and recreate a few! This Mylk is inspired by their Blue Majik Mylk recipe…which I will DEFINITELY be recreating SOON! However my Blue Majik was a casualty of the hurricane power outages this summer so I didn’t have any lying around. Which brings us to this beloved Lavender Mylk. I peeked around my house for the ingredients I did have and this creation was born! Its really great over a yogurt bowl or warm oatmeal and its super fun! I hope you love it! BONUS: lavender is a calming herb that helps reduce stress!

Here are a few ingredients I included in this recipe and their benefits

  • Lavender: Improves sleep, reduces inflammation, reduces stress & aids respiratory health

  • Maca: Mood boosting, enhances libido & helps to balance hormone levels

  • Acai: Improved skin health, healthy digestion & antioxidant rich

RECIPE BELOW

INGREDIENTS

Serving Size 24 Oz of Mylk

  • 3 cups unsweetened vanilla almond mYlk (I personally think you could use any non-dairy milk you like best)

  • 1.5 TBSP Acai Powder

  • .5 TSP MACA POWDER

  • 1 teaspoon dried lavender

  • 2 tablespoons honey

*** I ALWAYS USE ORGANIC INGREDIENTS.  OF COURSE I UNDERSTAND IF THIS IS NOT FEASIBLE FOR YOUR BUDGET, BUT BUYING ORGANIC WHEN YOU CAN IS ALWAYS PREFERRED FOR HIGH AMOUNTS OF MAGIC.

RECIPE

  1. In a bowl, whisk together ¾ cup of your nut mYlk with the Acai powder. Set aside.

  2. Place the lavender in a tea ball or a loose tea satchel.

  3. In a small pot, combine the remaining 2 ¼ cups of your nut mYlk with the honey, MACA & lavender sachet/ball. Bring the mylk to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat. Simmer for 5 min. Remove the pot from the heat and allow the mylk to cool to room temperature.

  4. Remove your lavender and combine the warm mylk with the Acai mixture until well combined.

  5. Put on giant cozy socks and pour your lavender mylk over the perfectly curated oatmeal bowl. Enjoy your mylk as you would enjoy a fall breeze brushing across your face ever so lightly, reminding you that life is meant to be lived not witnessed.

  6. Store in fridge.
