Cherry Pie Smoothie

Actually the most delicious creation I've concocted to date.  The first time I sipped it I thought I was consuming real cherry pie! This is a pretty thick and creamy smoothie and its hearty, so one of these for breakfast will get you ready to take on the day for sure!

I love throwing cranberries in my smoothies to help with women's health, not to mention they have a ton of Vitamin C and one serving of cranberries accounts for 20% of the daily recommended fiber intake!  Cherry's have a ton of antioxidants one of them being melatonin which is known to have a calming effect on the nervous system.

Right give you the recipe already! Here it is...

Best. Breakfast. Ever.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 FROZEN BANANA

  • 1/4 CUP FROZEN CRANBERRIES

  • 3/4 CUP FROZEN CHERRIES

  • 1-2 CUPS FRESH BABY GREENS

    • (Depending on your tolerance. I always throw 2 cups in and you can't even taste them! I usually choose baby spinach and baby kale but its great to try and rotate your greens!)

  • 1 TBSP CASHEW BUTTER

  • 1 TSP CINNAMON

  • 1 CUP UNSWEETENED FLAX MILK

    • (You can use ANY unsweetened dairy alternative. Other options include macadamia, almond, coconut, oat, hemp)

  • OPTIONAL TEASPOON PROBIOTIC POWDER

    • (I use Designs for Health)

*** I ALWAYS USE ORGANIC INGREDIENTS.  OF COURSE I UNDERSTAND IF THIS IS NOT FEASIBLE FOR YOUR BUDGET, BUT BUYING ORGANIC WHEN YOU CAN IS ALWAYS PREFERRED FOR HIGH AMOUNTS OF MAGIC.

RECIPE

  1. PUT ALL INGREDIENTS IN YOUR NUTRIBULLET OR BLENDER AND BLEND UNTIL THICK AND CREAMY. CONSISTENCY SHOULD RESEMBLE MELTY ICE CREAM. IF IT IS TOO THICK ADD A LITTLE WATER OR MORE NUT MILK!

  2. ENJOY. SIP CASUALLY, PRETEND YOU ARE IN THE BAHAMAS, OR SWISS ALPS, OR WHEREVER YOUR HEART DESIRES WHILE YOU FILL YOURSELF WITH DIVINE NUTRIENTS.
